A Bachelor’s Degree in the field of human services or social work is preferred; and Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years experience in social services is required. One year of relevant supervised quality experience may be substituted for each year of education. The individual is expected to demonstrate an understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence, knowledge of community resources and sensitivity to the needs of domestic violence victims and their families. In addition, the individual is expected to present good-listening skills; demonstrate effective problem solving skills; be able to work with a diverse griup of individuals; and be able to work flexible, evening and weekend hours. Experience with training, education, or presenting to groups preferred. Completion of a state mandated 40-hour domestic violence training and 5 hours of double staffing is required; can be completed upon hiring. Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.

Good interpersonal skills, flexibility and ability to relate to the needs of homeless individuals.  Experience in maintenance, shelter services, and/or bilingual English-Spanish a plus

Current Serve Safe certificate required.  Ability to work in a kitchen operated according to the regulations of the Philadelphia Department of Health.  Must have ability to observe and practice all kitchen and food handling and serving safety procedures.  The ability to work independently and be relief person for other cooks in the department. Ability to relate to families in an urban setting.  Desire to work in a homeless servicing agency.
