Dear Friends and Supporter of LSH and Centro Nueva Creación/New Creation Community Center

We are very excited to announce that Centro Nueva Creación ~ New Creation Community Center, (Centro) will be joining Lutheran Settlement House (LSH) to offer services to Philadelphia families. This fall the Board of Directors of Centro voted to merge with Lutheran Settlement House. Around the same time, the Board of Directors of LSH also voted in favor of the union. Both organizations will benefit from greater reach into our community, a broader array of services and new opportunities to meet our community’s needs while we strive to achieve our common mission.

Some of the factors that made this an easy and unanimous decision to merge include:

• LSH and Centro share the same mission-centered approach to serving the community
• Centro has a strong reputation for quality and needed children and youth services
• Centro is located in the heart of the Latino community; serving the elementary and middle schools in close proximity to its buildings
• Centro’s staff is interested in staying with program. Brady Sanders, the Acting Director, has been with the center for the past 4 years, and is very familiar with operations and neighborhood needs
• LSH does not currently have similar youth programming, so Centro’s will broaden the services available to our community
