The Community Education and Employment Department (CEED) is one of the longest-running programs in the agency, dating back more than 100 years. In the 2008-09 year, CEED provided 551 adults with literacy, basic education, GED preparation, English as a Second Language instruction, and career-readiness training and support to help participants achieve and maintain self-sufficiency. All CEED classes are offered free of charge to the community.
